Summary
|
The importance of housing for older people cannot be
underestimated. Older people make up 18.1% of the population of the
Borough compared to 15.8% of the UK population as a whole and this
proportion will grow. Their ability to enjoy an active old age
throughout the aging process will depend on the right range of
housing and support services being available to them.
