Shopmobility

There are two Shopmobility facilities within The Borough (see details below), offering use of powered scooters and wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs, FREE OF CHARGE to anyone with a temporary or permanent mobility problem. The equipment is intended for use within the town centre areas only. New users need to register with their local facility, please call for further information.

Shopmobility is located in purpose built premises on the corner of Churchill Way and Great King Street. The service is managed by Community Transport Macclesfield Borough (CTMB) who also operate  the Dial-A-Ride bus service from the same premises. Phone (01625) 613520/21/22).

Opening hours; 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Equipment is loaned 9.30am to 4.00pm.

Shopmobility is managed by staff at the information centre.

Opening hours; 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 12.30pm Saturday.
Equipment is loaned between 10.00am and 4.00pm (12.30pm Saturday).

These facilities are part of  a national network of  Shopmobility Centres where equipment can generally be hired on production of a local membership card. The details of The National Federation of Shopmobilty are;
