National Lottery funding

National Lottery funding

The Borough Council supports any lottery funding for bids that will enhance the quality of life for organisations and communities within the Borough. The distributing boards seek the views of local authorities in making an assessment of any application. Therefore we are able to provide advice, support, and general information. Please contact us at the earliest stages of your bid.

Useful contacts:

The National Lottery was established to raise money for good causes to benefit communities throughout the UK. These are; arts, sports, charities, heritage, and initiatives in health, education and the environment. From every £1 spent on a Lottery ticket, 28p goes directly to the good causes. Any group with a good cause project can apply for Lottery funding. But remember, funds are limited and you should seek advice from the relevant distributor before applying.*

* If you don’t know where your project fits into these funds, look at www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk or call 0845 275 0000. For smaller grants of up to £5000, have a look at www.awardsforall.org.uk .

Make sure you let the Lottery Officer know about your project, as we will be contacted by the Boards for information about projects in Macclesfield Borough.
