Refuse Collection service

The Council removes refuse and recyclable materials from nearly 69,000 households within the Borough each week.  The majority of these homes are now on our new recycling and refuse collection system.

Trade and commercial customers should see Trade Waste.

The Council also operates a waste paper collection service to many households within the Borough. For further details please see Recycling or contact recycling@macclesfield.gov.uk

Street Cleansing
This Street Cleansing Service operates throughout The Borough and encompasses the following functions:

  • Street sweeping
  • Litter bin emptying
  • Removal of fly tipping
  • Car park sweeping

We can provide advice and support for voluntary clean-ups.
