Renewable Energy

In partnership with a number of other Authorities, the Borough of Macclesfield has supported the development of a free on-line toolkit providing expert, impartial advice about which renewable technologies are suitable for domestic properties.

www.cheshirerenewablescheck.org

The website was launched on the 17th December 2007 and includes information about climate change, ground source heat pumps, solar water heating systems, wind turbines, solar electric systems, wood heating (biomass), air souce heat pumps, hydro elecric and wood fuel.  Installer contacts have been included.

There is also a beginners guide to renewable technologies and energy efficiency information.
