Local Land Charges

A search can be made of the Local Land Charges Register on form LLC1 for a property or area of land. This will show any "charges running with the land" which are required to be registered under current legislation.

Additional enquiries can be made on form CON29R (required) and/or CON29O (optional) to show additional information such as the Planning History, Building Regulations, Highways, Environmental, Common Land and other matters.

Two copies of the relevant forms, plus two copies of a plan showing the area to be searched, should be submitted together with the appropriate fee, in the form of a cheque made payable to "Macclesfield Borough Council".

The completed search will be delivered within ten days.

Personal Searches

A search of the Register only can be made in 24 hours if a Plan correctly identifying the property is faxed to 01625 504203, followed by a telephone call to 01625 504207 to make an appointment. Searches are collected from the Customer Centre at the Town Hall, Macclesfield, where a computer is available to obtain further publicly available information regarding Planning, Highways, etc.

Fees:

• Register Search (LLC1) is £10.00
• Required Enquiries (CON29R only) are £106.00
• A Full Standard Search (LLC1 + CON29R) is £116.00
• Optional Enquiries (CON29O) are £12.00 each, except for Q5 and Q22 (Common Land and Town or Village Green), which are £20.00.
• Supplementary Questions are £8.00 initially, but may incur additional fees from the responding department or authority.
• Additional Parcels of Land are £15.00 each for a Full Search, or £1.00 each for a Register or Personal Search
• Register Searches in the Peak District National Park (InPk) are £11.00 extra.
• Full Searches in the Peak District National Park are £22.00 extra.
• Personal Searches are £13.00 each.
